The hedge trimmer gears
1) The inside of the articulating joint has a large double sided cylinder gear with a spacer washer on each side.
2) The main gearcase has a large cam gear on a post that drives 2 cam shafts (one on top and one under.) attached to the shears. To get there, simply remove the cover plate, friction plate, and gasket to expose the gears. .
3) On top of the cam gear there is a cam shaft and spacer washer.
4) If you remove the cam gear off the post, there is another cam shaft underneath as another spacer washer. That's it.
